Exercise 1
Choose the correct words to complete the descriptions.
1.
We put a prepositional phrase before / after the verb we want to modify.
2.
The preposition 喺 hai2 / 係 hai6 means ‘in, on, at’.
3.
The question word 邊個 bin1 go3 / 邊度 bin1 dou6 is similar to where in English.
4.
When using the question word 邊 bin1 (‘which’), we need to add a classifier / preposition and a noun after it.
Exercise 2
Observe the district names in Grammar and Vocabulary 7.7. Many of them end with one of the following words. Find two more examples for each word. For the first two words, pay attention to the Chinese characters as they are sometimes pronounced the same.
