The question word 點 dim2 / 點樣 dim2 joeng2 is similar to how in English (as in how is your fried rice?). We can use 點 dim2 / 點樣 dim2 joeng2 to form a question that elicits opinions about something or someone as the answer. We put 點 dim2 / 點樣 dim2 joeng2 after the thing or the person we ask about.
| A: | 你個炒飯點呀? nei5 go3 caau2 faan6 dim2 aa3? 你個炒飯點樣呀? nei5 go3 caau2 faan6 dim2 joeng2 aa3? How is your fried rice? |
| B: | 我個炒飯好好味呀。 ngo5 go3 caau2 faan6 hou2 hou2 mei6 aa3. My fried rice is very delicious. |
We can use the verb 覺得 gok3 dak1 (‘to think’) at the same time.
| A: | 你覺得條魚點呀? nei5 gok3 dak1 tiu4 jyu2 dim2 aa3? 你覺得條魚點樣呀? nei5 gok3 dak1 tiu4 jyu2 dim2 joeng2 aa3? What do you think about the fish? |
| B: | 我覺得條魚好新鮮呀。 ngo5 gok3 dak1 tiu4 jyu2 hou2 san1 sin1 aa3. I think the fish is very fresh. |
We sometimes omit the noun phrase before 點 dim2 / 點樣 dim2 joeng2 if it is obvious in the context.

| B: | 我覺得 ngo5 gok3 dak1 I think it is very fresh. |
