After discussing some options, we sometimes want to suggest a new option. We can use the conjunction 定 ding6 or 定係 ding6 hai6 (‘or’) to suggest a new option and ask for opinions. We put 定 ding6 or 定係 ding6 hai6 before the subject. We usually add the sentence particle 呀 aa3 at the same time.

ding6 ngo5 dei6 heoi3 wong6 gok3 sik6 aa3?
定係我哋去旺角食呀?
ding6 hai6 ngo5 dei6 heoi3 wong6 gok3 sik6 aa3?
Or we go to Mong Kok [a district in Hong Kong] to eat?
